Sigh, here it goes again. More and more gantries. Soon ERP gantries may be considered POI of Singapore where people will come and take photos and selfie with them.
The four new Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) gantries along the AYE will begin operating from Aug 4, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced today (July 29), after the LTA completed its quarterly review of traffic conditions.
Three gantries will be on the AYE heading to the city — after Jurong Town Hall, on Clementi Ave 6 and Clementi Ave 2 slip roads towards the AYE — and the final gantry will be on the AYE headed to Tuas, after North Buona Vista.
ERP rates for the gantries after Jurong Town Hall, on Clementi Ave 6 and Clementi Ave 2 slip roads towards the AYE, will be priced at S$2 from 7.30am to 830am, and S$1 from 6pm to 7pm.
ERP rates for the gantry after North Buona Vista will be priced at S$1 for 6pm to 630pm and at S$2 for 6.30pm to 7pm.
Meanwhile, ERP on the two gantries at the ECP (City) and KPE slip road into the city will be removed from 7.30am to 8.30am, while rates on two gantries at the MCE westbound before exit to Maxwell Road and on slip road to Marina Coastal Drive will be decreased from S$3 to S$2 from 8.30am to 9am.
These rate changes will also take place on Aug 4.
The next ERP review will take place on November, says the LTA.
