This is pretty cool. Hope it comes to Singapore soon.
Fast-food restaurant KFC has unveiled its latest product to be rolled out in the United Kingdom later this year: an edible coffee cup.
Named the “Scoff-ee Cup”, it is made from biscuit, wrapped in sugar paper and then lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate to keep the coffee hot and the cup crispy, reported The Telegraph.
Over time, the chocolate lining melts, and the biscuit begins to soften, causing it to melt in your mouth.
The cup was invented by The Robin Collective, the same group that came up with the War Room Martini, a cocktail that uses moisture extracted from the walls of the Cabinet War Rooms, a bunker-like complex that sheltered Sir Winston Churchill and his government in World War 2.
The cups are also infused with a selection of “mood improving aromas”, The Telegraph reported.
Created to mark the launch of KFC’s Seattle Best Coffee across its UK branches, the “Scoff-ee Cups” are still in their development phase with plans to trial them at a limited number of stores later in the year.
